Issue Turtleneck Repros
Identical

sweater!

Few people
know of the turtleneck the Wehrmacht introduced in
1942. Aside from original images of soldiers
wearing these sweaters, only the few original examples
exist today. We were lucky enough to obtain one
of these originals for examination. The result,
the first reproduction of this Schlupjacke 42!
Most
collectors refer to this turtleneck as the
"M-1942 Sweater." The reason for this
is simple, it was first issued in 1942. The
pattern is very similar to the previous issued sweater
patterns that had green stripes on the collar &
cuffs and were either crew or v-necked. The
M1942 however, had a high turtleneck collar &
lacked the collar & cuff stripes. A
good number of original images show landsers wearing
the late war M44 tunic with this type of sweater.
The
Repro
